The 6th  BioTrans Conference to be held in Olomouc, administrative seat of the Olomouc Region, the Czech Republic from June 28th till July 3rd, 2003 will be a European conference on biocatalysis, biotransformation and biotechnology.

This Conference will gather together European scientists involved in biocatalysis within the biosciences, chemistry, engineering, and industrial production to create a stimulating, highly interdisciplinary forum for intense scientific education and exchange. The event will promote science and technological excellence through the inclusion of virtually all current topics in biocatalysis.

The major topics of Conference to be addressed are:

  • Enzymes in organic synthesis
  • Industrial scale processes & development
  • Biochemical engineering & downstream processing
  • Enzyme discovery, design & evolution
  • Mechanistic biochemistry, protein structure & modelling
  • Pathway engineering, genomics & proteomoics

The organisers particularly encourage the active participation of young scientists.
